WikiLeaks boss Julian Assange turns on everyone

Let me get this straight. The world's champion for freedom of information, and the head of WikiLeaks, is pissed off someone leaked information regarding embarassing allegations against him? Makes sense. Seriously.

He accused his media partners at The Guardian newspaper, which worked with him to make the embarrassing leaks public, of unfairly tarnishing him by revealing damaging details of the sex assault allegations he faces in Sweden....................Speaking from the English mansion where he is confined on bail, the 39-year-old Australian said that the decision to publish incriminating police files about him was "disgusting".

Its ironic for sure but if the rape allegations against him are bullshit which it sounds like they might be(if you have sex with a willing participant and the condom breaks that's rape?) then I've got a problem with the leak.


The allegations centre on a 10-day period after Assange flew into Stockholm on Wednesday 11 August. One of the women, named in court as Miss A, told police that she had arranged Assange's trip to Sweden, and let him stay in her flat because she was due to be away. She returned early, on Friday 13 August, after which the pair went for a meal and then returned to her flat.

Her account to police, which Assange disputes, stated that he began stroking her leg as they drank tea, before he pulled off her clothes and snapped a necklace that she was wearing. According to her statement she "tried to put on some articles of clothing as it was going too quickly and uncomfortably but Assange ripped them off again". Miss A told police that she didn't want to go any further "but that it was too late to stop Assange as she had gone along with it so far", and so she allowed him to undress her.

According to the statement, Miss A then realised he was trying to have unprotected sex with her. She told police that she had tried a number of times to reach for a condom but Assange had stopped her by holding her arms and pinning her legs. The statement records Miss A describing how Assange then released her arms and agreed to use a condom, but she told the police that at some stage Assange had "done something" with the condom that resulted in it becoming ripped, and ejaculated without withdrawing


This guy is basically a journalist who got information from a source and the next thing you know he's charged with rape and amazon, paypal and other business's cut him off without him being arrested for anything or any due process.How the fuck does that all happen without pressure from the government?

I hear what you're saying. I just have a hard time caring. Did he really expect to flaught shit in front of numerous world governments and remain untouched? It would be like feeling sorry when I reading a news article like the following.

Ok so its obviously wishful thinking, but you get the point. The guy has always acted like a douchebag in my opinion. Given your comparison of him to a journalist, its not surprising he got outdouched by another journalist. To be honest, the paper that leaked the material played it well. By constantly referring to the report as "allegations" they can back out relatively safely with little more than "Well, we were just reporting on what she said. We never implied it was fact."

For me the bottom line is this, who cares? The shit he leaks is pretty much worthless to the average person. Theres a 99% chance those that could do something with the info already have it. They just dont publicize it for obvious reasons.

As for the implication the government had a hand in a fucking him over.........the guy leaked shit about government corruption fucking people over once or twice, I think. Is he seriously surprised the same corruption is now fucking him over? He should have picked a smaller dog to continually poke. /shrug

You're right Bird and Im not arguing the point the government was naughty and didnt play fair. But its not like it's the first time its happened. Governments have done shit like this since........mmmm.......the first government?

I simply find it hilarious that this particular asshole got hit with a big fucking irony stick he should have seen coming a mile away.

Freedom of information is great, but he could have done it without talking. This thread would have probably been about the government fucking him in the ass if he had kept his mouth shut and this had happened. I found him to be a douchebag not because of what he did, but because of how he acted about it. The way he baited people who were against the release of something Wikileaks had obtained.

He poked a dog that has long ass history of biting. He got bit. Hard. But he knew it was more than highly fucking likely it would happen before he started. Hes a douche for crying about it now.
