Absolutely brutal last night. The fact that a guy who is so loaded and has high paid advisers can be so tone deaf to the feelings of a whole state, his home state is pretty remarkable.I don't really blame him for wanting to leave because the Cav's have nothing to offer but to use this as a marketing opportunity was lame. You had to love the vitamin water vending machine in the back round of the interview.
He could have just done a quick press conference and said "This was about whats best for my family and where gives me the best chance to win.I love Cleveland but it just didnt work out".He basically said "I gave them 7 years and I don't owe them anything" which is sort of true if he was under paid during that time. They gave him a shit load of money.
My friend called me last night driving home from his softball game and I convinced him that he picked New Jersey.Told him that russian billionaire got it done and Lebron wants to play in Brooklyn. He totally bought it.I havent heard from him yet but I can't wait to hear how he found out about Miami.

It kind of pisses me off when these players get to be in the situation where they can pick a team that gives them the best shot at a ring. It just seemed to be more fun when sports was more about a team developing out of no where, building year by year, and then finally winning. Not stacking a deck to try to give yourself an unfair advantage to make it easier to win.
The whole process sucks now.
All I heard in his speech last night when he announced was "Its going to be too hard for me to win a ring in Cleveland, so I am going to go somewhere that I think it will be easier because I am so great."
And we all know that great players are the ones that take the easy route.

In a way I'm glad it went down like this.He couldnt look worse then he does right now and it didnt have to be this way.Could have left in a classy way and it all would have been forgiven. Now for the next 10 years its going to be people rooting against him and you'll always have a reason to not like him.
I'm not 100% they win a title next year.Bosh is not that great.Right now they have 1 guy on the roster in Mario Chalmers. They literally have nobody else signed now that they traded Beasley(my call). It really does matter who they fill those spots with.

So when this thread got started, did 8ter have any way of knowing that all three of these guys would all end up in Miami?

We'll have to ask him when he gets back from raping the earth or where ever he's at.

He told me before he left that he's developing a alternative source of fuel to help out with the energy crisis. He takes the first born of every household and grinds them up into a slurry that when added to gas still fires engines.Cuts our oil consumption in half.

I would have never guessed all three sign with the same team... my opinion: Lebron wanted to stay in Cleveland but wanted a 2nd. Bosh said there was no way he would sign in Cleveland... Bosh picks Heat and tells Lebron to come along. Bron says what the hell....
Now Bird... give me your opinion on if this will work or not. How many championships etc...

What other players are they going to bring in?
I heard they flew in Fisher but I doubt he leaves LA. Think the heat bring Shaq back for the minimum?

I thought he and Wade got along well. They'll need a big body and I think Shaq would play for the minimum.
Other than Shaq... who could they get that would fill an area around the rim?

I'm not sure they win more then one.Chicago is going to give them a run next year. They have size problems against the lakers if Bynum gets healthy.
They have problems with lakers regardless. Gasol > Bosh. Two different skill sets but Gasol does the dirty work. I hate the NBA. I'm the one guy wanting a strike in a year, forces some Hawks to stick around another year.
I'll let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours

NBA has been great. For as much as I've been hating on Lebron this whole thing has been hilarious to watch.Plus the Heat have the same cap as the rest of the teams so its not inherently unfair like baseball.
Bulls\Heat Eastern conference finals will be like the Knicks heat series back in the day.
