US player had an easy header for a goal and blew it.They also just got screwed on a offside break away goal that got called back.

I don't get that channel.
I kind of enjoyed the 2 minute long goooal call by the mexican announcer when mexico scored the winner.I thought it was ridiculous and then I remembered I like Dick Vitale.
US gave it away.Basically let the guy sprint into the 6 yard line uncontested.They had their opportunities but didnt convert.
I love how people bring up pollution as a advantage to the mexican team.
On a neutral site I think the US takes it.They play better defense then they played yesterday.

mexico dominated the game
US played on their heels the entire game
lazy passing kept the game in the wrong end most of the game
all in all, poorly played by the gringos
this was their chance to finally win a game in mexico and they fucked it up, big time
ps/ refs made every call for the home team, for sure, but no excuse

Ball possession was 80\20 mexico.They were on their heels.Mexico wanted it way more.They needed that win or their world cup chances were in trouble.
The US goalie was the only guy who didnt look scared but the guy plays for a big english club so thats understandable.
Besides Donavon the US has nobody up front who strikes fear in the opposing defense.
US soccer is still kick and chase too much.They never worked the ball up the field with smart passes.

I like this guy better then the old coach who seemed arrogant to me.I think we need a foreigner to force us to play the right way.

They played their best ever under Mulitinovich or whatever his name was back in the Alexi Lalas days of the national team.He made them play a European style that they've slowly gotten away from.Its more pride that we have our own professional league thats doing relatively well that prevents us from hiring a foreigner.It would look weak but thats really what we are in the world of soccer.Great athletes, weak strategy and fundamentals.
I actually watch MLS games on ESPN and its painful to watch guys who can't trap a ball and there is never any systematic moving of the ball slowly up field.Its still kick and chase for the most part.
I think Bradley looks nervous because he knows he's not as qualified as the assistant coaches on the other sidelines.Could he get a head job or even an assistants position in a second division EPL club?I highly doubt it.

U.S. soccer star Landon Donovan has tested positive for the H1N1 flu virus, Donovan told SI.com on Thursday night.
"I felt something when I got into Miami on Sunday," Donovan said. "I just felt real bad and finally went to see the doctor. They took a swab from my nose and confirmed it, so that was that."
Donovan learned of the H1N1 diagnosis on Thursday afternoon, the day after he played 90 minutes in the U.S.'s 2-1 World Cup qualifying loss to Mexico in Mexico City. Even though Mexico has been the epicenter of the global H1N1 outbreak, Donovan said that he contracted the virus in the United States.
