Beau, you used to be pretty cool with it all, you used to understand that the heirarchy here was not so much "we're better than you" but rather, an attempt to allow the old-timers a place to feel like things were old again, but then something happened and someone put a bug up your ass. Since then, you've been a completely different person on here. You've become mean-spirited, beligerent and just generally angst-ridden. As such, I can say that I'm not sorry to see you go. I welcome the thought that your negative attitude won't be here any more, I'm tired of it, and it's become a bit pathetic.
Finally, one of the criterion for banning is trying to throw a wrench into the general flow of the site. I can tell you right now that constantly challenging the 'authority' around here, could easily get you banned, but as I said, I do my best to be fair about this kind of thing. As such, I'm not going to ban you at this point, I'm going to allow you to come back and tell me just how wrong you think I am.
It sucks to find out that you were a bully when you were younger, but I can tell you right now, that you can't bully me. I've done nothing to you, or anyone else for that matter. If you want to be a bully, go to one of the greener pastures of which you speak, I do hope that you can find a large community where there are no little bullies like you, and there are no moderators to try to stick up for those of us who can't necessarily stand up for themselves.
For the rest of you here, specifically the newer members... I hope you understand that the role of the moderator is not to censor unreasonably, it is not to attempt to provide a general singular stream of conscious. We are here for a few reasons: 1. to help you if you have questions or problems with using the site. 2. to be sure that hardcore pornography, blatant hateful racism, or any other form of general prejudice that we see. 3. we are here to make the experience comfortable for the majority. however, we are also concerned about each member. If you come across a post that you find particularily offensive, and that we agree is offensive, we will remove it. If you feel personally attacked, if you feel as though someone is being negative, and you have done nothing to provoke those people, we will do what we can to alleviate that problem. If, however, you are intent on 'stirring up trouble', a broad statement I know, we will stop you. We don't want people trying to tell us how to run things around here, we don't want people who try to make others feel badly by devaluing their efforts, & we don't want people who consistently post unrelevant and unintelligent posts (IE spam).
I must say that I am far from innocent as far as what we don't want around here, however, the key word is consistently. I know that I can be hypocritical at times, but at this moment, this is how I feel. Hopefully you guys can understand that the goal here is to make this fun, and that there will be disagreements, but if both parties are big enough to get over them, things can continue to flow nicely.

I wouldn't have known about any of this because I ain't going back there anyway. However, I appreciate you posting it Velvet. It is just a matter of time until that site just goes away. Nothing lasts forever. Those dudes used to be cool. However, somwhere along the line they confused the term moderator with the term dictator. You just can't treat people that way just because you don't like them or just don't want to hear what they have to say.
