dude I know that it was made with the spirit of "that time" and it is somewhat genuinely less disturbing that they could have had it done.

However I gotta admit that I find myself this idea, for the less, disturbing with nowadays views, as it carries a certain stereotypical view on a whole class of people (black people) and contributes to mock someone using that relationship. It may sound cute but really it isn't.

For a white person to compare Obama to the old buckwheat stereotypes is racist.

A white person calling another white person "white trash" or "honkey" is not racist because you can't descriminate agaisnt your own race.

so we set the standard of being the forum that won't ban anyone and allows all the free speech that the intraweb can stand but we won't put a shirt in the cafe express because its deemed racist? the 9th ward swim team post katrina was funny tho right?

It was getting old but without me I'd fear he'd pass away like a guy dying right after retirment.

There was nothing racist about the 9th ward T-shirt, cruel and thoughtless yes but not racist.I don't see anyone getting banned here.
