Clerks is the most overrated movie franchise ever.Its for pseudo-intellectuals and is barely funny.

The first Clerks was very funny. The follow ups, not so much. Mallrats was entertaining when it came out, but that's where my humor was at the time. I've heard rotten things about Clerks 2 and am up in the air to if I will check it out.

The first had its moments (the jay\silent bob parts) but it all boiled down to some 30 somethings waxing philospohically(but not that intelligently) about life which is boring as shit.The last Kevin Smith movie I saw was dogma which has all the same problems I just described.His movies are for people who think they're cultured but would never sit through a real indy movie.
