You don't have a clue how Carroll works if you believe that. Every job is open every day at USC. THe top recruits go there because of this. They don't have to worry about waiting to start. If they are the best, they start. Clausen knows he could not beat out Sanchez (a former #1 in the nation recruit, ahead of everyone), so he went to ND. It is a wise choice. I would not hang my title hopes on a Freshman quarterback, when you have 18 starting seniors leaving.
This is a USC rebuilding year. They will be loaded for the next 3-4 years, and the rest of you are playing for the privelege of getting a title shot. Unfortunately for you, you will have already been beaten by them once in the regular season, so you won't get another chance. No one wants to see a rematch.
You better hope you don't get Michigan in the Rose Bowl either, because they are going to kill ND given the chance.

I am more worried about the game this weekend than anything else. There is a lot of opportunity for a let down againsy the biggest rival in Pasadena.
