I am sorry but as much as he is the best power forward in the league right now. What he did to Moore was unacceptable. Moore has a broken neck now because of it and a sever concussion. I think they are right for suspending Bertuzzi indefinitly, and I believe he should do some time.
Oh and if anyone has the video of it, can you post it? So everyone knows what I am talking about.
Well here is what he got:
Suspended 12 games & Playoffs, eligibility status for next season will be reviewed before training camp. He loses $501,000 in salary due to the suspention. Plus god knows how much in contract bonuses. The Vancouver Canucks team was also fined $250,000.
Now the big question is wll the VPD (Vancouver Police Dept.) accually lay assault charges against him? We still have a 2-3 weeks until they tell us while they investigate.
They punished McSorley with 18-mos that he can't play against the Canucks or something. That he can't play in a game that Brashear is on, anywhere in Canada. I can't remember and it's 12:20 am so I can't look it up.
If the VPD do anything I'm sure it will be slightly more than a slap on the wrist. Maybe some probation and community service.
Dude has been charged. Wonder if he would have been if Moore hadn't broke his neck though...... Still think he deserved what he got.
