I like beaver.

I know what you're thinking now. You think we're all gay, don't you? Think we're all just a bunch of deviant lifestyle-living same-sex having motherfuckers, am I right?

The state of Louisiana was giving out Neutra meat to anyone that wanted it. They reproduce so quickly and cause so much destruction they were trying to get people to eat it. I tried some jerky.. wasn't bad. They are sposedly alot better for you than other meat because they are a clean eating animal. Meaning they don't eat shit like pigs and chickens.

An older black guy that used to come by brought some cooked oppossum one time. Apperntly he said he didn't skin them.. just gutted them and cooked them over an open flame so that the fire burnt the hair off of them. nasty looking shit.

I ordered a Turducken from the "Creole Kitchen" in NO last thanksgiving. Its a boned Turkey with a boned duck inside with a boned chicken inside the duck. Each layer is covered in boudin dressing and the last cavity is filled with boudin.

It was requested again this year.

Flumper Barflusterbutt Wrote:Who's cooking their own turkey this year and how do you cook it?

Our family requires 2 turkey's and we bring the second. My uncle smokes one in one of those water smokers. He always brings the "primary" turkey. My wife and I bring turkey #2 because we always used to run out.

We brine it for a day or so and then she rubs some kind of butter/herb mix under the skin all over the bird. Then cook in the oven. The brine really makes it moist. We usually get one of those little pop out thermometers to jab in it (if the bird doesn't come with one). That tells you exactly when they are done.

Nothing better than leftover turkey sandwiches.

i had the flump pegged for the "deep fried turkey"
go figure

I realise that I have a past to break with--an accumulation of inertia, wrong, foolishness, rot, junk.  A great need of clarification, of mindfulness, or rather, of no mind.  A need to return to genuine practice, right effort.  Need to push on the great doubt.  Need for the spirit.  Hang on to the clear light.

i have heard that neutra is pretty good eating, but the idea of rat is hard to take

anyone who eats possum without caging it and feeding it cornmeal for a week is totally fucked up and should be mercy-killed
