i gotta say, after watching Brazil yesterday i've become a fan of soccer...its still pretty lame compared to golf though

Golf is more of a pastime. Like bowling or gardening or swimming. Doesn't involve very many people and isn't physically demanding. You can go play on a Saturday morning, afternoon, week-day, whenever you get time. Not many people go out in the afternoon and try to organize a soccer game.

Soccers great, you just don't see the beauty of the game like most americans and want a bunch of scoring.The endurance you need to play world class level soccer is what makes it harder than golf and that doesnt even take in account the touch you need to have while running full speed while not using your hands.

I completely understand it. I played for a few years. Was actually okay at it. It is not a hard sport. Don't mistake physical exertion for difficulty.
Hitting a golf ball precisely and consistently is much more difficult than kicking the ball through the goal, I don't care how tired you are.
Not to mention that there should never be a tie in any fucking sport.
