It bugs me that he misspelled "Tokyo" in the title, even though it's in the body of the post.

Yeah, sorry, i was studying maps of Louisiana. I was glad to hear they got the treaty signed with N Korea. I think that they have been pushing in that direction all along.

Not even remotely true. Its an absolute about face of positions by the Bush admistration to the Clinton proposals of 8 years ago which Bush laughed at for 6 years. All that happened was Bush tried to be a tough guy with N Korea and it made the world more dangerous. Is it any more obvious that you blindly follow Bush than it is now?

Are you serious?During Clintons term they were negotiating the deal that Bush just signed, its not like deals like that just appear. The only reason it never got signed was bush took over and decided we arent negotioting with the "Axis of evil".Also during clintons term they werent testing nukes.Bush got used by Lil kim jong Il, once they tested that Nuke and we didnt do shit our bluff was called and Bush realized we had no choice but to negotiate which by giving them all that time by us playing hard ball they doubled there nuclear weapons along with testing them. How was that good for us?I think I can bump the thread where we discussed this issue before and you ridiculed the Clinton proposal that Bush just signed but now you're all proud of Bush for doing exactly what you mocked clinton for coming up with?Is it you don't really know what your talking about or are you too stubborn to admit when you are wrong? If its the latter you're a sad, pathetic little girl.Men own up when they are wrong.

We are giving them millions of dollars worth of aid to sign it after they got the leverage by doubling their capabilites and testing that nuke.I wouldnt call that making them.

Bottom line is if we had gone with the Clinton proposal from the outset instead of cowboy diplomacy North Korea would have half the nukes they have now along with the fact that they never would have tested the ones they did have.Seriously explain to me how going this route benefited America compared to doing this deal 6 years ago?

The fact of the matter is that Bush got it done, when Clinton didn't. I guess they signed it because they realize now that we aren't fucking around. They didn't want to be on our list anymore.

Laughable/\/\

Answer the fucking question, pussy. How did doubling their nuclear capabilities along with testing them help America when we could have signed this deal 6 years ago and stopped them from advancing their nuke program as far as they did.How is it a good thing we waited 6 years to sign this while they became more dangerous?

Its funny as hell the way people spin shit to make it political. The fact is that Clinton couldn't get NK to sign the deal. Bush finally did. Now they are spinning it to try to make Bush look bad.

Anyone that thinks that NK did anything other than what was totally expected of them, hasn't been following the way they do things. Its the same thing everytime. They stir up some shit, get some sanctions, then when they need money, they make a deal. Its been happening t hat way with them for years. Bush knows it. And Clinton knew it. Clinton couldn't get them to sign that deal, until they had stirred up enough shit to get some cash out of the deal. None of this is suprising.

Don't you think it's slightly hypocritical that for over a year Bush was saying that North Korea shouldn't be negotiated with, and now following these negotiations and signing a treaty, he's crowing about it?

To be honest, I haven't heard a whole lot of crowing about it. In fact, I thought it was pretty low interest news and was suprised by that.

But, no I don't think that it is hypocritical. Every president has used the same strategy with North Korea. Bluff them until they need the money, then pay them to sign a treaty.
