Not really, but I know what you mean. It was a weird feeling smoking a joint and then moving on to the next cafe to smoke again. Walking through a strange city in a foreign country where every 5th person is a street dealer trying to sell bunk ectasy and coke would probably get some people going crazy.
I did get paranoid as fuck one day though. On 4/20 we smoked a joint of Barney's Amnesia Haze (the 2004 Cannibus Cup winner) and then went to the Anne Frank House. After that we roamed the city and smoked the rest of the gram. From there it was on to Amnesia, where I picked up a gram of their N.Y.C. Diesel and the A.C.E. Ice-O-Lator hash. Smoked a joint with my fliend, then another with these cats from Jacksonville (they were there for a bachelor/bachelorette party...good shit), and then pulled 5 hits of the hash. After that we went to Cafe 420 and got down on a joint of Kladinsky's Jack Herer, a joint of Cafe 420s' Neville's Haze, a mystery joint we found in the hostel, and a spliff of some G13 from the Green House. Also had 3 Amstel Lights and pulled a couple hits from other joints that were being passed around.
After that I pretty much wigged out. I didn't know how much money I had left, I was upset that we didn't know where we were going from Amsterdam, I was claustrophobic inside the small cafe, and I was sick of being in Europe. This dude from Chicago kept asking me questions about Prague: Have you seen the movie "Hostel"? Did you register with the U.S. Embassy? Do you speak Czech? You realize you'll probably get mugged there, right? There was a 3 hour window where I wanted to come back to the U.S. I just went back to the hostel and slept that shit off, then woke up and got down on some Morrocan Cream hash and White Widow. I was cool then.
