Here's what I learned after 1 day at IJ:

1. All Tom's threads are nearly 10 pages and are locked and put in the "Worst of the Worst" Forum.

2. There is one sticky thread where people can nominate people to be invited to join. If Nuno or some of the others decide that they can't then they don't get invited. Blondie, I would not look for your invite, neither should Flumper, Tom, or Freak. Mt and VitaminE had no objections. Oh, and BEW you probably won't be getting a call.

3. Moorfehus and some other guy really don't like Flumper/Animal.

4. They like long threads, up to 10 pages, to post about how they hate drama. They really really hate drama and will go to great lengths to post about it.

5. If you join don't start a thread called "Hi, I'm a Noob". It gets immediately moved to the ever popular "Attention Whore" Forum.

I think that limiting membership in any way is a sign of weakness and the inability of the members to defend what they stand for.

I adamantly disagree with this point. Some people don’t want to have to continually defend themselves, but instead would rather let their guard down in a friendly environment.

If you’re willing to post your real name, address and phone number so you can “defend what you stand for” then your argument will have some validity. But you won’t. Why? Because no one wants to “defend what they stand for” every time someone else feels like arguing.
