If he's going anywhere near the Caymans, you should say to hell with the tequila, and geet him to get you a light and dark park of Tortuga Rum. and one of their rum cakes would be nice too.....I'm a diehard tequila drinker, and I'm telling you to opt in for the rum....that should tell ya something.

I am kinda dorky about stuff like this, but just so you all know...
Tequila can only come from Mexico. You can't make it anywhere else and call it Tequila. In fact even in Mexico, if did not harvest the Agave from the Tequila region of Mexico, you can't call it Tequila.
Very similar to the rules of Champange.
