There was no drilling or for that matter work over operations underway. Accident occurred under normal maintenance activity. The SCSSV's are downhole safety valves and all the SCSSV's worked as designed and SI the 7 producing wells to prevent a leak. It is suspected that the oil feeding the fire is from a storage tank on the platform. Any pollution is caused by the oil in the storage tanks on the platform.
