And I did read the article. And I get the fact that the government is not equipped to handle leaks a mile deep in the ocean. They have a role in it somehow, but since this is sort of new stuff, I think they are just now figuring out what that role is. Understandable.

Sort of the same thing as having a city the size of New Orleans hit with a storm of the magnitude of Katrina and having the levees fail. That was a new one. I think they learned a lot about those type storms, the numbers of poor people that won't evacuate even after being told, and the preparations that need to be done to prevent that from happening again.
