It just so happens that the kind of mail they specialize in and had a monopoly in is dwindling down to nothing. I bet nobody even sends postcards at all anymore since you can send an email while on vacation.
Priority mail from Fed Ex is illegal?We do it all the time when we need a signature to verify that someone got it.
The fact you think post cards and families paying bills is what makes the post office important is hilarious.You simply have no clue.
