I have thought about that and I find it plausible.

The question here though is what does an atheist believe created the universe if not a higher power.

We've answered this though. Science. What created science? Human beings. What created human beings? Science.

I believe (I can't speak for others) that we are just here through a series of events that happened. And thats where it ends for me. I suppose we could go around and around with "Well why did those events happen, what made them happen?" but my answer will always be the same "It just is what it is"
