With all the enviromental, green bullshit thats all the rage now how long until it's considered tacky to buy a real tree?

I'm gonna recycle my tree. After chirstmas I will take it to my camp and put it in a hole so that fish will inhabit it. I will then go back a month later and catch those fish and eat them.
