Who here smokes cock?
#41

nice rationalization, li'l guy, medical progress will have no bearing on your life span
i do agree with you on the stress aspect
i feel the stress of quitting will do more harm than continuing to smoke
voila, smoking is good for me

welcome to the club

I realise that I have a past to break with--an accumulation of inertia, wrong, foolishness, rot, junk.  A great need of clarification, of mindfulness, or rather, of no mind.  A need to return to genuine practice, right effort.  Need to push on the great doubt.  Need for the spirit.  Hang on to the clear light.

I pretty much said I've accepted a short life span.No mention of medical progress to save me.

At this point I'm a bowl every few days which is the equivalent of 2 or 3 cigs a week.I'm sure a truck driver breaths in worse every week on the road.I could quit if I had a reason to but I don't.

My dad was a chronic Type A personality, but only occassional smoker. But, between his stress levels, genes (his dad died from a heart attack) and even part-time smoking, his heart got the better of him. Still, he exercised regularily and ate well. But (for those who believe in him) God decided to wait until he was happily involved with the love of his life to kill him.

My dad smoked like a chimey for a long time.Camel wides to boot.

Same thing for my dad. They werent married a year before he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It was pretty devastating for everyone involved.I got to do the best man speech and his eulogy in less than 24 months.

My pops smoked the Pall-Malls like they were gonna quit making them. He died of Kindey and Bone cancer. Not sure how that applies to the thread.

my dad is 88 and quit smoking in the 60's
more power to him, i am sure it has improved the quality of his later life
he is 88 yrs old and still fairly sharp

this has nothing to do with anything

Sucks. Pancreatic cancer is the worst one. It has a 3% one year survival rate. My grams died from it. She lost over 100 pounds in about 6 months. Terrible thing to watch.

The fact that there is an older version of snarg on this earth blows my mind and kind of makes me sad.

my dad is not really much like me
i learned a lot of good shit from him and picked up my bad habits on my own

he admitted to me for the first time ever that he wanted to try pot but never had the opportunity
i told him he sure had the chance, all he had to do was ask

I've said this before, but at IT's heyday, there were an awful lot of people here with one or more dead parents. It's kinda odd.

Yup.When they told me I looked it up and new he was screwed.Last few weeks were almost unbearable.

When I saw Patrick Swayze had it and still was smoking at first I was pissed and then realized why the fuck not?

My pop and I never talked about it beside him yelling at me when I was younger. When he got older I saw some by accident when he had me move something in his room.I left him a huge bud a few weeks later. We never spoke about it.

If this place causes cancer it will not be worth it.
