I disagree with this one.. Just because there was a few bad one's out of the 200,000 military men and women you can't blame Bush for this.. Look at what the iraqy army was doing to there own people for all these years. It's just a fucked up incident that 8 of them did..I believe they should be tortured the same way they did it to the iraqy priosners

:fuckYou:

As they said on the Daily Show: we were supposed to go over there and close the torture chambers. Instead we simply put them under NEW MANAGEMENT!

Remember, these are people who haven't been formally charged: Just rounded up. Many were simply let go. After all this. Yeah, we're the good guys.

Fuck.

Man c'mon Bonky. There are a few bad apples in every bunch. Yes they have been rounded up and you just watch, their asses are going to get court martialed with prison time and deservedly so. The internal investigation on all of this had been well underway for quite some time before any of us even knew about it. That is why the pictures surfaced. As the investigation broadened, more people knew and more of a chance to see the photos for everyone. Bush apologized. He didn't need to. But because the man is decent, he did anyway. I never saw Saddam come out and apologize for a damn thing during his tenure. :|

Sorry, man, I respect your views, but it doesn't wash. Rumsfeld knew about this earlier this year. Plus, according to the military's own report, there was a recommendation to let most of these detainees go. It's systemic and Rummy ought to be fired.

Plus, it's only going to get worse, he said, so he's known for quite some time. It's a coverup, they've been caught, and now Republicans are clamoring to defend this shit! Save for McCain.

You trust him don't you?

You can't use the excuse that Saddam was worse so we are justified to do what we want. These soldiers were not trained properly, one being courtmarshalled was a mechanic who got stuck in this unit. The prison was not being controlled by the units commander, its people were receiving orders from military intellegence officers, CIA interrogators and private contractors that the government had hired to do the interrogations. Unfortunatly the grunts will get all of the shit.

Yup. I'll be impressed if I see even one "officer" go down for this shit. If you try to tell me these soldiers acted of their own volition I will laugh in your face. You know everyone of them knew what was going on and why it was going on. They are desperate to get information and you're a fool if you think any country doesn't use torture to find stuff out. B)
