I've been to a couple in good seats. Its hard to follow the puck.Seriously.How many times do people shoot on net and you have no idea where the puck is?Hockey crowds are funny because they get hyped up the closer the puck gets to the net and when someone shoots they all collectivly hold their breath and wait for the horn and light to go on before they cheer.
it just seems to me that the most exciting moments of the game are missed all the time. Also I think that most goals are guys standing in front of the net hacking their stick in the direction of the puck which doesnt seem to skillful to me.I like playoff hockey a little and fights. To many teams and players now make regular season games seem cheap

I'll give you that the puck can be hard to follow on TV. But at a game, if you've got good seats, it's not hard. Many goals are just luck and they are exciting because it's a game. But, the goals with skill are truly exciting to watch.
Having said that, the hockey season is a bit too long, but I appreciate having a game to watch (with my team playing) every second day or so. Jimmy follows NFL, but there's only something to watch once or twice a week.
I can't watch basketball. I just can't. Watching the score flip flop for that length of time and the game be decided in the last minute just bores me to tears.

If you're 30 rows back its hard to follow the puck.Theres 10,000 seats further than 30 rows back at a typical arena.Even when you are that close its hard. When you watch sportscenter they slow down the highlights so you can see where the puck went.I just remember people kind of guessing when to cheer or staring at each other for a cue to cheer.
Its what you're used to I think.I watch soccer when I can and thats just a slower version of hockey.Even if its 0-0 I'm entertained because I know first hand how hard it is because I've been paying attention to it since I was a kid and even nice passes give me almost the same amount of joy as a goal.
