I did not say all head coaches cannot groom QB's. I think Mooch, as a coordinator who does not have to worry about anything else, does a fine job with QB's. Could be that as a Head Coach he does not have the same kind of time. I am simply saying he has never had to work with a from the ground up guy before Harrington, since he has been a head coach.
Maybe he needs a better QB coach? Who know. I still think Harrington will be good in this league. I hope it is not too late for him.
Same thing happened to Akili Smith (although he may not have been as talented as Joey). He got fucked up in Cincy and never recovered.

Shell was a good hire but they practically had no choices left and wouldnt have gone with him if they didnt have to.Raiders are the worst franchise in football.Davis is the Kim Jong IL of the NFL.

I am going to agree with most of your assessment. The coaching carousel we have been on is ridiculous. They either have to hire youngsters not quite ready or old doods being given their last shot.
They got lucky with Gruden and when Al saw him start to get all the credit he got rid of him. Although I don't know too many teams that would turn down an offer like they got for him.
I think Arizona is the worst franchise in football, but the Raiders have a chance to take the top honors in the next year or two.
