I took a leave from this site for awhile because I got irritated with what I think is a thread deletion. Jimmygone posted something derogatory about the United States (surprise) and I retorted with some witty-ness. I was trying to get some of the good people from my old site to join, and was looking for that thread as an example.

Not to be found.

It was one from a Canadian site. The part that pisses me off is this:

The thread was deleted (I think) AFTER I made a defense of my country, but it was fine when the criticism stood unchallenged.

If my incompetence is to blame for not being able to locate this thread, then EVERYBODY here has my deepest apologies. I do not make this post lightly.

Excuse me IC but just what exactly do you mean by "surprise?" Am I unaware of my own predilection toward posting anti-american commentaries? And for that matter I don't find my post (copied and pasted from the website posted by Velvet) or the reply posted by yourself, to be derogatory in any way. I found both to well-written satire based on the sterotypical differences between people residing in both countries.

read Diabs post.

And NOTHING gets deleted here that aren't straigh porn or childabuse.

I can post the moderator log if you wanna.

If there is a post (we have had two) we (Site assistants) PM the poster and ask him to remove it.

We have had a couple of deletions on behalf of the poster since they posted it twice... and so on. But NONE what so ever because we felt like it.

And so it will stay!

I stand corrected, and my apologies to all and for doubting the sincerity of the mods. It was obviously my incompetence that lead to this thread, and I will try to be more diligent in my searches before I presume the worst. I must be "gun-shy" from UJ. It is truly a relief to me, that nothing untoward happened. I have really grown to like this place, and I do not want to go. I won't lie though, I got hot about what I thought happened. :lol:

Jimmy, we have been catching a lot of heat from Canadian Artists and Canadians in general. It was not much of a surprise to me to see this type of thinly veiled criticism from our Northern Friends. It disappoints me, and probably many other Americans, that we are currently being blamed for so much ill in the world. The word "Derogatory" was probably not the best choice. I like the way you termed it better.
Now, how 'bout that Molson?
