Lemme run this by you...

Lafayette is a family town.. not a tourist attraction. Our nicest hotel is the Hilton off of Pinhook road. Now she said she wanted to stay off of Ambassador Caffery... There is a couple of hotels there but the newest one is the Holiday Inn Select...

Sorry to ruin your ideas of my "little" town....but as Tammy said.. there is no Ritz Carlton round these parts.

same here.. we have a Hilton.. used to be the Ramada Renaissance..

But normally, the places I go to.. I stay at Hampton Inn's..Comfort Suites.. Hilton Garden Inns in New Orleans if i am there on an "off" week for them..

I'm allowed $85 a night for a room unless I have to go to Atlanta, New Orleans, Atlanta, etc.. bigger cities.. where it is impossible to get a room at that rate..

Last time I was there, I was staying in Baton Rouge.. then got moved to umm.. crap.. a nice, white hotel.. a Jameson or something? i dont know what it was.. but it was by a Chinese restaurant, i think.

well Chillis is $$$ if you are lookin for a spot to drink. Also, BWW is about a mile down. There is also an O'Charleys which has happy hour all day every day along with a Bennigans all on this same street.

Now if you are bring Asshat there are a few upper class restaurants I can suggest.

haha.. just gonna be me on this trip.. and i get bored with hotel rooms.. i probably wont go to Wings.. even tho i will want to.. but I normally only go to Wings here by myself because I know I am going to know half the people in there..

But, if ya go into a restaurant bar that is next to the hotel.. 3/4 of the people in there are just in town for business...and so i might do that.

Thanks, again! I will stay where you suggested..if they have rooms available... i am probably driving down wednesday.. but maybe thursday.. the guy from the office there is supposed to fax me a map from that hotel to sixth street.. i havent been there in 2 years.. i forgot my way around..
