He's calling me out. Oil prices are the cause of our last recession bird and if we continue to let oil creep up, another recession is on the way. Every single aspect of our lives require some form of oil. As we move further from here on out, China has a stronger more viable economy. Once we confirm that there isn't enough oil to maintain our lifestyles our economy will be in the shitter and our stock market will crumble.

Your theory of the world crumbling due to oil dependence is hinging on the fact that nothing will ever change as far as how we get our energy.That is simply not true.Technology advances every day.We surely have enough oil to last us until technology liberates us from oil dependence.The Chevy volt from what I'm reading is a good start on that road.You also ignored the central point of the quote I posted...There isnt enough oil in our territorial waters to sustain our oil needs for just one year so how is that going to make any significant dent in our dependence on foreign oil?Is it worth possibly ruining the environment for a drop in the bucket?
