1. Hire a competent and experienced general manager. My list would include Randy Mueller, Charlie Casserly, Kevin Colbert or James Harris.
2. Let the GM hire a competent and consistent coach. My wish list: Brian Billick, Jim Hardbaugh, Bill Cowher.
3. Get either Donovan McNabb or Kyle Orton and draft a QB.

Casserly would do it and probably would help.Billick is the only one of the three who you have a chance at.
Ortons an upgrade.I hope you get your Mcnabb wish so I can laugh at you.
Tebow is going to be out there for trades which sounds funny but him and Kolb will be two somewhat hot commodity's.Denver is going to take a QB if Elway comes in.I've yet to see a Tebow highlight where he passes the ball.James Clausen too now that I think about it.Carolina is taking Luck.

I would take McNabb for a year or two max. He is better than either smith. Fuck even shaun hill is better and they gave him away. Its time to fix what has been broken.

Your solution got benched for Rex Grossman.You are like all those former players who see the name Donovan Mcnabb and think it still means something anymore.He's no better than either Smith.Jimmy Johnson on fox pulls no punches and said he's done weeks ago.Shanahan is the same way.Their job is to win not coddle a millionaire.
Kolb or Orton would be who I would go after.
I bet a guy in my office who is a skins fan at the start of the season 20 bucks that Jason Campbell would have more touchdowns for the Raiders than Mcnabb this year.Campbell despite playing 4 or 5 less games tied Mcnabb yesterday.

Great point despite the ratio of black people with rings to white is probably 30 to 1.
Eagles will be looking for a 2 or 3 for Kolb.Good year to have that card to play.Teams that need QB's is a long list.

-Nothing spectacularly surprising about this, but after speaking with two NFL sources this morning, I can reiterate that it sounds like Jed York has circled Jon Gruden and Jim Harbaugh as his main head-coaching candidates.
Makes sense. It’s not wrong. Gruden and Harbaugh have to be the top candidates for the 49ers’ job and, I believe, under the right circumstances, both would be quite interested.
Wouldn’t shock me at all if there already have been informal discussions with the representatives of both men, maybe even a light conversation between Jed and both primaries.
But York also is going to hire the GM first, and promises that the GM will make the call on the HC, but if he’s doing this right, he knows which GM candidates are most likely to bring in a top guy like Gruden or Harbaugh.

I'd worry about Gruden.The more I think about how he kind of screwed the U by pretending he was interested then when they fire the coach he's not it make me think he's a snake who just used Dungys sloppy second to win that superbowl.

I'm hearing Harbaugh because he already lives in the area and Michigan thinks they have no shot at him.That would be huge.This GM hire is not that exciting.This guys resume isnt that impressive.Hiring from within makes me nervous when the within is a mess.

Now that Luck is coming back to Stanford and Harbaugh turned down 7 or 8 mil a year from Miami I'm starting to wonder if Harbaugh is leaving college.
If that happens then what for the niners?Gruden I guess?

There isn't a whole lot of information left but I'm thinking Hardbaugh is still an option. From what i've heard Michigan offered him 5 mill and he wanted 7 mill from the 9ers....
No idea whats going to happen here.
