Personally, I think that Hillary presents the tougher challenge. Not because she is the better candidate, but I think that having the option of a black president will bring out Republicans to vote that might not have otherwise. There were tons of Republicans that voted for Hillary in the Texas primary just because they didn't want Obama to get the nomination. I think they will turn out for McCain for that same reason.

Having said that, I don't think that McCain has much of a chance either way. The McCain from 8 years ago, would probably be able to pull it off. But in the last few years he's aged a lot and it shows when he is in front of an audience. He just doesn't have the wit or humor to overshadow how dull he is in front of a crowd and he's got the stigma of people not being happy with things right now. I love you.

No, not at all. I think it was purely because they don't want a black man on the ballot. I don't listen to Rush Limbaugh, but I think maybe that he (and a few others) convinced everyone that McCain was a shoe in and any vote for him was basically a waste of time. So if they were going to vote, they should vote for Hillary just to keep Obama from having a chance to get the nomination. Not because of a fear of running against him (although they might have phrased it that way) but because they don't want a black president. I love you.
