Banana's thread made me wonder what all of you were like in high school, since you seem so happy to be away from it.

Are you one of the people who look back on the years of 14-18 fondly? Good memories of great parties and first hook-ups? Or were you the type that was made fun of and played the trumpet in the band?

I was both the popular jock that hung around with the stoners. School life was great for me from spoh. year till end of college.

Dont think I ever missed a party, played football and baseball. Should have took school more seriously and got better grades. Once I got to college, then I took school seiously and got good grades.

i wouldn't have played basketball and spent my time smoking pot and drinking cheap beer...probably could have spent more time at parties too. i was pretty dedicated to school work...i probably should have slacked off more.

I spent my time running Cross Country and Track, spent time causing trouble on the weekends. You could say that I probaly slacked off on my school work to much, i just did enough to get by and still be able to play sports.

I miss my high school days; I was a popular motherfucker in a school with 2,000+ students. I got laid much more frequently, drank a lot of cheap alcohol, ran track (4 x 100, 200, triple jump), and didn't worry about a thing.

I was a popular kid. Had the cool car, played football, was on the wrestling team. Never missed a party, got along with just about everyone....cept this one time when I jacked some poor kid against the wall for hitting on my GF....you know what I take that back, I didn't get along with everyone...cause I'm sure there are some doods out there that would have loved to kick my head in...Sup RW....sorry for super glueing your gym locker shut.

Actually, I wasn't....I tried fitting in with everyone but never really succeeded. I wasn't a dork by any means, just never had an actual click. It wasn't until I got to college that I figured out its pointless to try and gain others approval...be yourself and shit.

I was the guy in hush puppies located near the back of the smoking area most of the time. I remember very little of the happenings during that period due to prolonged drug use.

I had 4 different groups of friends. The jocks, surfers, academics and neighborhood.
My school had over 5000 students, so it was impossible to know everyone, but I new a goodly number of people, and they knew me. I was popular without being obnoxious. An old friend of mine recently told me that I was always the rock, the steady one that they could all rely on that held different groups of people together.

I also got laid a lot. I had long term on/off girlfriend. On times meant sexual experimentation, she was taking it in the ass at 15. Off meant a chance form to hook up with random chicks, so I took advantage. At one point when I was 16 I was seeing 5 different girls from 5 different high schools. I got so confused I missed a bunch of hook ups and eventually ended up alone for about 3 months until the steady and I got back together.

I was alot like Sandog...being from Cali, my high school graduation class had 2000 plus students....lots to choose from. Freshman year had a steady g/f...then soph year I got sick and she screwed around while I was out sick....i found out and at that point used the popular jock thing to screw anything I pretty much wanted.....didnt have a steady g/f (more than 3 months) the rest of high school. No need to.

oh things here are quite different, usually classes are not more than 25 people.
Anyhow good times indeed. I wasn't the most popular dude out there but wasn't left apart...like if there were a party I wasn't the most attended one but I was there so...
Usually I was with "cool persons" nothing special and I suppose that activities were the same than yours as : smocking blunts and goozing beer (legal age to drink here is 16), going to clubs...ah souvenirs.
In my region there are a lot of different nationalities; I saw some article in a journal a few times ago that was stating that there were officially people coming from 160 countries *there's the UN and a lot of international organisations in Geneva*.
Anyhow so since always I had friends coming from various parts of the world.
The usual joke was "who's swiss in there ?"
