I think its obvious that we had the best staff top to bottom all year.Hamels would be the indisputable best lefty in baseball and would have won 4 or 5 more games if the Phillies gave him some run support in the first half of the season.Lidge proved all the critics wrong and is now the greatest closer in Phillies history.Middle relief was obviously the best in the league.

I was 30,000 feet over West Virginia when the Phils won it, crammed in between two assholes on a 6 hour flight from Long Beach.Driving back from the airport I passed the stadium area and it was still filled an hour and a half after the game.If I wasnt so fucking tired from my trip I would have joined the celebration.Fireworks going off in all the neighborhoods were visible from 95 and I'm sure a few unregistered handguns were being used though some probably had nothing to do with the game.This is the biggest thing to happen to the city that I can remember and it huge for its psyche.No longer are we the lovable losers and can't be looked down upon by short, prematurely graying, arrogant Boston fans.

Utley made a top 5 world series defensive play with that fake to first to get that jap out at home.I couldnt believe my eyes when I saw that replay.

The parade is tomorrow at noon starting round market and ending at the stadium.I will be there and will be hammered by 12:30.Maybe I'll take some pictures.
