leucetios Wrote:Point well taken. I stand corrected.

Are you calling me a deviant?
I'm sure you are. Wink

If I follow closely (i.e do not deviate from) my own moral standars, how can I be a deviant?

You are not. But, we define deviants by the law to a large degree, and to a lesser degree by "normal" behaviour.

So, let's pretend for a second that I come from a different culture  Would I be judged deviant based on my deviation from the US norms, or the norms of the hypothetical society I grew up in?

Well, we "pretend" you are from a different culture, and you want to live and be accepted and not be charged with something illegal, you must adhere to US moral standards. For example, if in Barba....wherever Wink, you are allowed several wives, and you want that luxury here, forget it. Deviant.

Now I have to kill two of my wives. That's allowed right?

Killing the other two is perfectly acceptable.

I call my morals the "mayberry morals" and they come from me asking myself "What would Andy do?".
