I'm an idiot but you basically agreed with everything I said.30% of the GOP is hardcore Christian and you need someone special or special circumstances to be able to bring the base and independents together.Thats going to be tough to do anytime soon.Its a pleasure to learn you.

Hey, I remember not too long ago when the democrats got totally off their base. They were scrambling and trying to figure out what their message was. Apparently, this year they have found it again. Go back to the grass roots of what the Democratic Party has always been.
- Promise to only raise the taxes of the really really rich people.
- Promise that government will solve all of their pressing problems.
- Promise that social security will be safe.
- Go after the poor people's vote at any cost

If it is Hillary they will be whipped up to a frenzy.With Mccains ability to bring in independents she will get beat.I don't know if it will be badly but she will get beat.Obama will beat Mccain by 15 points.I used to love Bill Clinton but now I've lost a lot of respect for him because of the way he's short changed Obama.

Bad news for cLaY. Reading the papers today, it does appear that its going to be a really tough row to hoe for Obama in Texas. I didnt see any poll results, but Hillary is starting off with a major lead and non of it looks good for Obama.
They say that 1 out of 3 votes for the Democrats will be Hispanic. Hillary has done her homework and has some major Hispanic supports that are going to tour the state with her. Namely Henry Cisneros who is huge in texas among the mexicans. She also has former Land Commissioner Garry Mauro, another big name to the mexicans in Texas.
They have already built up Obama amongst the Mexican community as a black guy that Mexicans can't like. (Mexicans and blacks don't geehaw too well down here). So, he's going to have it pretty tough here if he plans to beat her.
She's been working this state behind the scenes for over a year now. At least among the mexican vote. I love you.

I don't know. When Obamamania finally starts to ebb, and he has to come up with some real plans of action, it may hurt him.

I hear you.He's probably not going to win the PA democratic primary because the middle of the state won't vote for a black guy.I think he's got a good shot to win the presidency because he seems to do well with the midwest.The democratic candidate is going to win big states like California and New York so I think if he can get a few that democrats never got he'll win easily.I also think your going to see a low turnout for the gop candidate if he's not running against hillary.

Seriously, if it comes down to that, I would switch my vote. That one issue alone could sway me. If the Republicans continue to stick to this zero tolerance bullshit they were preaching last year, then no way could I support that. That is the worst thought out idea to come out of a person's mouth that I have ever heard. Anyone that thinks that would be a good thing for this country, knows absolutely nothing about our economy.
