Yeah, he was able to save up loot from his job. It's a good thing his parents give him an allowance, otherwise he would have had to use his own money towards rent/food/clothes/school, and he wouldn't be able to afford such a nice ride.
Edit: If I remember correctly, he worked the entire summer so he could buy the BMW. That's like 3 whole months.

My buddy had one, a 99 3 series I believe. He had problems with the transmission leaking and the air conditioning.
