they are cavity back irons....I upgraded to a titanium driver or two but am happy with my clubs.

You said they were "oldies", I figured they must be old. Hell, I was hitting First Flight irons that were given to me in high school by an old man's wife after he died. They were $$$ back when that guy was playing, but they were shit for now. About 10 years ago I got some Titelist DCI's with graphite shafts. FUCK! Made a ton of difference.

I've thought about upgradeing and even thought about taking my clubs to get graphite shafts, but I don't play enough to make it worth the money.

I never noticed that. I got the oversized club heads and they really feel heavy. The thing that I liked the most about them versus the old blades that I had was that you never hit one of those shots and miss the sweet spots and feel the club in your hands. I mean, you can still hit bad shots, but the likelihood of mishitting a shot are so much lower.

I'm gonna guess their 10 years old....I bought them for like 50 bucks 4 years ago from a fella I know who upgraded to a new set....I had an old set of wilsons at the time.:$

I had an old set of Predator Lynx blades that were impossible to hit but went real long.I would quit if I couldnt use oversized clubs its to precise with blades.What kind of driver\wedges are you using?

Your right it doesn't make any sence....but if I use my oversized drivers = strait right, off the tee and about 310 yards deep. if I use my standard driver = 280 ish middle of the fairway.

Well, I have the Titleist DCI pitching wedge and sand wedge. I hit the pitching wedge from about 130 yards. I go to the Sand Wedge at about 120. Once I get to 100 yards, I go back to my old wedge that I have had for a long time. I can hit that fucker as hard as Tiger Woods and it won't go over 100 yards. I hit that club from 100 yards and in.

My woods were given to me by my old boss. They are graphite head and the brand is Yonex (sp?). They have a super long shaft, large heads and a pretty flexible shaft. In fact, the shaft flexes too much for me. I can't hit driver off the tee because I slice it so bad. I just can't get the club head through the ball without leaving the face open. I hit 3 wood off the tee and it works out okay.

I should splurge and get some woods, but I just don't play enough.

Oversized Irons and oversized woods are two different things.You cant have "Blade" woods.Blades are smaller heads on the irons.Pros use blade irons.
