Ah. "I see", said the blind man.

For the record though the slab is L shaped.

Its 30' X 20' and 18' wide all the way around.

Don't worry. just try and tread lightly when talking about slabs and stuff.

Its still framed up so I couldn't tell how deep it was poured... its pretty thick though.. I'd say at least 8 inches...

He'd be a day late for that celebration, you have 364 days to worry about it for next year.

I laugh when people say that 8 inches is pretty deep. But, that's another topic....

understood... all I am saying is I have no idea how deep it is.. but you should be able to figure it out. I would think that its deep based on the amount of weight we are going to store on it.

If I understood your dimensions right, the slab is 30 x 18 plus 20 x 18 = 900 sf
Well:

32 cy x 36 inches/yd x 9 sf/sy / 900 sf = 11.52 inches thick. That doesn't make sense, unless they poured some deep beams around the perimeter and in the center.

Now imagine that they used some "back of the van cement". ya know the kind "that just felt on the road". That could make sense.

Nah, I am pretty sure those fukkers were busy repaving the driveway, and painting the siding.
